ERC 2026: Will We Make It to the Finals Again?

Last year we packed rover Freya for the first time and came back from Krakow with 11th place overall and two podium finishes. That campaign taught us more than any semester could, and it also set the bar: this time we do not want to just qualify, we want to climb higher.

For the past months the whole team has been rebuilding Freya for the 2026 season. The rover is getting lighter, the manipulator and drill are being redesigned, and the autonomy stack is receiving a major update. The first big checkpoint of the season is the qualification: every team submits a video proving that its system is ready for the challenge. Ours is now out, and you can judge for yourself.

The finalists will be announced by the organizers in the coming months. ERC 2026 takes place September 4 to 6 in Krakow, and we are doing everything we can to be there again. Fingers crossed, and stay tuned.
